I painted this in alla prima style by walking up on the moorland in Ystradfawr Nature Reserve. I was attracted by the cloud formations showing beautiful tones of greys, pinks, white and blues in dialogue with the rural land underneath. Then the two walker appeared at the horizon and so I added their sylouettes.
